Job description

Candidate Responsibilities

Research and investigate the design, functionality and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes.

Education Requirement

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Required - Electrical, or equivalent.

Typical Day

The typical work for this role will primarily involve

  1. Electrical component/system design (eg- can decide on AMP required, what kind of lug is suitable)
  2. Electrical Integration Engineer.
  3. Designing Electrical layouts for off highway machines.
  4. Electrical harness design experience. understanding and hands on experience with electrical schematics.
  5. Experience with Creo Schematics additional benefit
  6. Completing concept and finalize electrical designs of mining & Construction product electrical integration.
  7. Collaborating with product group, other design teams, suppliers and manufacturing engineers to deliver optimized designs for functionality and manufacturability.
  8. Development of requirements and specifications for electrical equipment to support the mechanical demands for power, modularity, and footprint
  9. System integration of specified components to develop comprehensive power distribution network
  10. Creation of documentation to allow purchase and construction of machine electrical systems
  11. Design/Check/Release of new drawings and documentation
  12. Keeping up to date on new technologies and/or developing new technologies.

Technical & Tool Skills

Good in Electrical component & routing design and aware of design consequences. A majority of the work involves routing to meet all requirements, followed by overseeing the process of creating the related detailed drawings and releasing the drawings for production implementation.

Candidate should have Design Experience of minimum 5Years in the below tools

  1. Creo
  2. Customization of Electrical drawings will be added advantage.
