Job description

Role Overview:
This role is for a Datacenter Facilities Support Engineer based in Atlanta/Lithia Springs, requiring onsite support from the Datacenter. Candidates should be willing to relocate if not local. The position also involves occasional travel, approximately once every two months, to VDC (Virginia) for 2-3 days. Strong communication skills are a primary requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and health checks within the datacenter.
  • Coordinate effectively with vendors for scheduled maintenance activities and emergency repairs.
  • Respond promptly to facility alarms, incidents, and outages, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption.
  • Support planned maintenance activities and adhere to change management processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive facility documentation, including maintenance logs, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and asset records.
  • Support capacity planning efforts for power, cooling, and rack space within the datacenter.
  • Participate actively in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure, network, and operations teams to ensure seamless support for business-critical services.
