Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga Databricks Database Consultant to support one of the largest innovative, data and AI companies serving multiple customers globally. The team is seeking an individual with advanced expertise integrating data engineering, data science, and cloud technology with client systems using the Databricks platform. Location: Huntsville, AL (100% Onsite) Clearance: Top Secret This job opens for applications on 5/7/2026. Applications for this job will be accepted for at least 30 days from the posting date Responsibilities: * Lead and execute a wide range of impactful customer technical projects, including designing and developing reference architectures, producing how-to guides, and operationalizing customer use cases.
  • Partner with engagement managers to scope and define professional services work based on customer input and project requirements.
  • Advise strategic customers as they implement transformative big data initiatives and third-party migrations, overseeing end-to-end design, build, and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI solutions.
  • Provide architectural and design consulting, and jump-start or implement customer projects to support successful evaluation, adoption, and long-term use of Databricks.
  • Deliver advanced, escalated support to resolve complex customer operational issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer stakeholders to ensure all technical components of the engagement meet customer needs.
  • Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product and implementation feedback and facilitate rapid resolution of product-specific or engagement-specific issues.
Qualifications: ยท This role requires an active Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience through work experience, 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics Experience supporting Databricks platform
  • Experience supporting Department of Homeland Security infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of two or more common Cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in at least one
  • Deep experience with distributed computing with Apache Sparkโ„ข and knowledge of Spark runtime internals
  • Programming: Python, Scala
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments
  • Working knowledge of MLOps
  • Design and deployment of performant end-to-end data architectures
  • Experience with technical project delivery - managing scope and timelines
  • Documentation and white-boarding skills
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts
  • Build skills in technical areas which support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects
  • Ability to travel up to 30% when needed
Compensation: * Total compensation based on experience level - $150,000-$200,000+ based on years of experience
