Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Sustainability Data Engineering Manager within our Corporate Strategy organization.
The Sustainability Data Engineering Manager will be responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance, and enhancement of sustainability technology solutions, including Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Sustainability Manager (MSM), and Environmental Resilience Analytics (ERA). This role ensures seamless operation of ESG reporting tools, data pipelines, and dashboards, while supporting compliance, data governance, and infrastructure optimization.
Primary Responsibilities - How will you help us Grow!
Application Management
  • Own and resolve data and metric calculation issues across MSM and ERA.
  • Maintain dashboards and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage system interfaces and integrations (upstream/downstream).
  • Ensure compliance with sustainability regulations and standards.
  • Support data analysis and insights generation.
  • Maintain and update configurations in MSM, SDSF, and Fabric.
  • Apply updates and patches from Microsoft GIT to MSM and related Power Platform applications.

Infrastructure Management
  • Oversee license management and renewals.
  • Manage data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines in Fabric.
  • Implement and monitor security protocols and data governance controls in Power Platform and Fabric environments.
  • Integrate systems and tools across the Microsoft sustainability tech stack.
  • Optimize cloud resources and ensure system uptime and backups in Power Platform Admin Center and Fabric Admin Portal.

Solution Utilization & Enhancements
  • Lead change management for new data flows and notification systems.
  • Maintain internal knowledge base and training materials.
  • Manage backlog of feature enhancements and prioritize updates.
  • Enhance methodologies, reporting templates, and dashboard visualizations.
  • Re-run data jobs and upload remediated data during error handling.
  • Perform manual data runs outside scheduled freeze dates as needed.

Team Leadership and Development
  • This role may grow to include one or more direct reports focused on data architecture or analytics.
  • Responsible for onboarding and mentoring new hires, consultants, or part-time contributors supporting data systems.

Education and Experience - What you will bring to the table!
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree(s) in Sustainability, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred but not required.
  • 5+ years of experience in ESG reporting or sustainability technology management.
  • 3+ Years experience in Managing Fabric One-Lake, Synapse Analytics, Databricks workspaces for a global enterprise.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Power Platform or Azure are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, Fabric Compute).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Blob Storage, and One-Lake Architecture(s).
  • Familiarity with MSM, ArcGIS, and ESG data schemas.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security protocols.
  • Experience with cloud resource monitoring and optimization.

Additional Competencies
Analytical & Reporting Skills
  • Ability to analyze ESG data and generate actionable insights.
  • Experience in dashboard design and report automation.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (CSRD, TCFD, CDP, ISSB).

Project & Change Management
  • Experience managing data-change in data collection and reporting processes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage a backlog of enhancements.
  • Strong documentation and knowledge base management skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams (IT, ESG, Data Owners).
