Job description

Data Engineer - SQL/Databricks or Redshift - Long-Term Contract - Onsite (Bay Area)
This senior technical Data Engineer role requires a very good understanding of cloud architecture and highly scalable data workflows. The ideal candidate is very capable of high-quality work against technical and schedule challenges working with cross-functional teams.
The client is based in the Bay Area and would like engineers to be locally based - you would be working onsite for 2-3 days every week - This is non-negotiable.
Key Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable field.
  • 8+ years of solid commercial experience designing and building cloud-based solutions.
  • Must have strong experience in advanced SQL, and ETL Tools.
  • Experience with Data Modelling.
  • Strong experience in data warehousing -AWS Redshift or Databricks is required.
  • Experience in Python/PySpark is nice to have.
  • Experience with Orchestration tools like airflow is a major plus.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good Problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • The key here is experience with advanced SQL, Redshift or Databricks, data modeling, and ETL.

Duration - 6 Months + extendible
Location - Pleasanton, CA
The interview process will include 2 rounds of technical interviews.
