Job description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Security Administrator to join our team in Southfield, Michigan in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This role will lead security administration efforts across a broad SAP ecosystem and connected enterprise technologies, helping ensure access controls are scalable, compliant, and aligned with business needs. The position is ideal for someone who combines deep SAP security expertise with a strong understanding of Basis and cross-platform security architecture.
Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day administration of SAP security across core platforms and integrated technologies, ensuring reliable and appropriate user access.
• Design, refine, and maintain security roles, authorizations, and governance standards to strengthen the overall control environment.
• Build security solutions for new SAP-related initiatives and expand existing frameworks to support evolving business requirements.
• Coordinate secure access alignment between SAP environments and connected platforms such as Databricks and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Work closely with network engineering, technical teams, business stakeholders, and technology leadership to support security strategy and execution.
• Provide security support across platforms including S/4HANA, Employee Payroll, Datasphere, Analytics Cloud, and SuccessFactors.
• Contribute to security planning for environments spanning on-premises and private cloud landscapes, including activities tied to ongoing platform transformation efforts.
• Monitor and improve security processes to promote consistency, compliance, and operational efficiency across enterprise systems.• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Security administration.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP Basis and its relationship to security design and system administration.
• Demonstrated experience securing multiple SAP applications and environments within a complex enterprise setting.
• Solid foundation in security architecture across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
• Experience with identity and access management tools, including Microsoft Entra ID.
• Ability to support SAP systems alongside related enterprise technologies and integrated platforms.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across technical teams and leadership groups.
