About the Role:
Mid-Hudson Structural Concrete Inc DBA Recycle Depot is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Weigh Master to join our team in Poughkeepsie, NY! This is a great opportunity to play a key role in our recycling operations by managing truck scale transactions and keeping things running smoothly every day.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor truck scales to accurately weigh inbound and outbound vehicles
  • Record and process weight tickets, ensuring accuracy of all scale transactions
  • Greet and direct drivers, providing clear instructions for facility procedures
  • Verify load types and classify materials in accordance with facility guidelines
  • Maintain accurate data entry of weights, material types, and customer information
  • Ensure compliance with state and local weigh master regulations and standards
  • Communicate with yard staff and management to coordinate efficient traffic flow
Requirements:
  • Prior experience operating truck scales or in a weigh master role preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Ability to obtain or currently holds a New York State Weigh Master certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
