Job Duties and Responsibilities: In partnership with functional stakeholders, design, develop and implement business intelligence solutions sourced from institutional and external data to the enterprise to advance analytics within NMSU System. Collect business requirements and translate into dashboards, reports, visualizations and business intelligence query objects in the existing BI platform (eg Cognos Analytics). Work on data projects and collaborate with functional and technical teams to advance analytics at NMSU. Ensure adherence to industry-accepted architecture principles. Uses standard or ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources. Develop complex reports to support compliance and critical operations for administrative offices using SQL and Java.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
Associate's Degree + 4 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree + 2 years of relevant experience.

Equivalent Qualifications: 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Demonstrated experience with Cognos Analytics v11 or comparable enterprise reporting and business intelligence platforms, along with solid SQL proficiency. Strong organizational and project management skills are highly desirable. Prior experience in a higher education environment is preferred.

Special Certification/Licensure: 
ITIL Preferred
