What is database software?

Database software is a type of computer program designed to create, manage, and manipulate databases. It enables users and applications to store, retrieve, update, and organize data efficiently. Common types of database software include relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
