Job Title: MongoDB DBA
Work Location: Los Angeles, CA
Work Mode: 100% remote (Need to work as per PST ZONE)
Rate: USD$70/hr to USD$75/hr
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Administer configure and optimize MongoDB databases for performance and scalability
Manage AWS RDS instances ensuring reliability backups and disaster recovery
Implement monitoring performance tuning and database optimization strategies
Develop and maintain backup recovery plans to ensure data integrity
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and indexing strategies
Ensure database security compliance and best practices are followed
Knowledge of Oracle databases for migration support and integration purposes
Automate database tasks using scripts and tools Python Bash etc
Qualifications Skills
Required
5 years of experience as a Database Administrator DBA
Strong expertise in MongoDB Atlas including replication sharding and backup strategies
Hands-on experience with AWS RDS PostgreSQL MySQL or SQL Server
Knowledge of database performance tuning and query optimization
Experience with database security backup and disaster recovery strategies
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Nice to Have Bonus
Experience with Oracle Database and Google CloudSQL administration
Experience with newer Postgres competitors like Yugabyte and CockroachDB
Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database integration
Scripting experience Python Bash or similar
Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform for database automation
