Job description

Job Title: Application Architect
Location: Wisconsin (100% Remote within Wisconsin only)
Contract Duration: Through 06/30/2027, with the possibility of extension
Primary Responsibilities
Application Architecture
  • Provide architectural guidance and oversight for software development initiatives.
  • Establish and maintain application, system, and technical architectures.
  • Collaborate with developers, database administrators, middleware teams, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Research emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Scrum Master Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile development activities.
  • Lead daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Monitor team performance and remove impediments.
  • Ensure compliance with Agile processes and development standards.
  • Support multiple Agile teams simultaneously.
Project Management Responsibilities
  • Plan and oversee technical development and infrastructure projects.
  • Track milestones, deliverables, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Implement Agile project management methodologies.

Top Required Skills and Experience
  1. Expert-level experience with COBOL, Java, and React
  2. Expert knowledge of Agile principles, Scrum methodology, and Scrum Master responsibilities
  3. Experience working with CICS
  4. Experience creating and maintaining stored procedures
  5. Strong understanding of structured application development and design methodologies
