Job description

Position Summary Independently performs advanced statistical analyses using Python, SAS, and SQL, leveraging data mining methodologies to create routine and ad hoc reporting across complex datasets. Designs, develops, and maintains high‐quality Tableau dashboards and data visualizations, translating analytical results into structured narrative reports that clearly communicate insights, quantify trends, and support data‐driven decision‐making. Location: 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. This is a full‐time (40‐hour/week) Monday‐Friday position with an 8‐hour shift scheduled during normal business hours of 8:00AM‐5:00PM. Overtime may be required as needed. This position is not eligible for sponsorship now or in the future. What You'll Do Develop and maintain complex database programs for extraction and presentation of data for standard and ad hoc reporting. Create supporting documentation outlining procedures within scope of responsibility. Develop complex sampling designs and/or execution methodologies for sample selection. Conduct difficult statistical analyses using standard reporting, ad hoc reporting, and data mining tools. Provide sophisticated data interpretation, compilation, and verification to guide departmental efforts. Prepare charts, illustrations, and graphics with narrative reports to identify and explain patterns and trends. Participate in writing articles for internal or external publication to support departmental efforts; may assume a leadership role. Assist in development of project plans and system life cycle maintenance; perform quality checks on relational database tables and develop focused end‐user applications. Participate in development of change requests and testing plans for changes to existing relational database tables. Research new data sources and provide written or verbal feedback to management. To Qualify For This Position Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. Four years of statistical programming or statistical interpretation experience. Strong organizational, customer service, and analytical skills. Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical or statistical concepts. Relevant computer programming skills. Preferred Qualifications Five years of experience with statistical practices. Five years of experience with statistical software and relational database systems. Proficiency in SAS, Python, and SQL. Strong oral and written communication skills.
