Job description

Job Title: Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Farmers Branch, TX Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

  • Create and drive a detailed work breakdown structure that outlines all tasks required for delivery, highlights dependencies, ownership, and committed task durations. Keep the plan current and review it frequently with the project team.
  • Communicate technical issues impeding the project, outline actions required, and identify responsible parties.
  • Analyze impacts to project timelines, recommend adjustments, and implement remediation with minimal impact.
  • Host regular project meetings, publish minutes, capture action items, follow up on deliverables, and escalate issues.
  • Build collaborative relationships with technical and application resources assigned to the project.
  • Negotiate delivery dates for tasks to ensure alignment with SLAs and overall project timelines.
  • Understand how delays and change control windows impact the project, escalate as needed, and facilitate rescheduling.
  • Keep current with technology strategies, enterprise standards, and policies to facilitate design and delivery discussions (e.g., cloud, DBaaS, data center strategies).
  • Manage coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Provide end-to-end visibility into the health of deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to enterprise change management standards.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in infrastructure project management, managing servers (physical and virtual), databases, and network components.
  • Proven ability to facilitate and manage multiple infrastructure delivery projects proficiently.
  • Strong multitasking and flexibility to assist team members as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to lead complex projects or programs.
  • Strong project management skills with extensive knowledge of Jira, Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive engagement with business and technology leaders.
  • Ability to lead meetings, follow up on deliverables, negotiate, and resolve ambiguity.
  • Enjoys working with technical, operations, and business partners.
