Job description

Summary: We are seeking an experienced AWS Aurora Database Analyst to join our team in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 10 years of comprehensive database experience, including 9 years specifically with AWS Aurora database. The role involves optimizing analytics performance, serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for issue resolution, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business requirements, and ensuring data quality through SQL queries. Additionally, the candidate should excel in performance tuning, database monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
  • Optimize analytics performance through SQL queries on various relational databases.
  • Serve as an SME to resolve issues and optimize queries on PostgreSQL.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design technical solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to system architecture and design.
  • Develop SQL queries for data quality validations and reporting purposes.
  • Extract, manipulate, and calculate information as per project requirements.
  • Capture detailed defect information for timely resolution during defect management.
  • Utilize SQL querying tools such as DBeaver, SQL Workbench, etc.
  • Identify and rectify database performance issues, including query optimization and index tuning.
  • Monitor database activity and performance using appropriate monitoring tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
