Job Summary:
Georgia IT, Inc. is a company seeking a Database Administrator. The role involves improving cloud and on-premise databases, ensuring data security, and maintaining enterprise database management systems.
Responsibilities:
• Work with teams to improve both cloud and on premise databases by ensuring that data is secured and access according to established standards.
• Plan, implement, support and maintain enterprise database management system environments
• Design, implement and modify physical database structures; evaluate, test and implement database management systems, utilities and tools
• Control the migration of database structures from the test environment into the production environment
• Monitor and tune production processes
• Coordinate database security requirements
• Report on status of database security
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience administering databases
• Experience in performance tuning
• Proficiency in PL/SQL coding, troubleshooting, and performance tuning experience in a high availability environment
• Experience installing, upgrading, and patching databases
• Experience maintaining database security standards for both on premise and cloud database systems
• Ability to determine best ways to deploy and monitor security controls
