Job description

General Manager (Resident Manager) — Maui Sunset

Kihei, Hawaii  |  Full-Time, Salaried

Maui Sunset, a beautiful 225-unit condominium community in Kihei, is looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, Resident Manager to lead our on-site team and work hand-in-hand with our Board of Directors and homeowners. If you love Maui, thrive on solving problems, and want to be the heartbeat of a vibrant community, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

As Resident Manager, you'll run the on-site office and oversee the day-to-day operations of our AOAO — from budgets and vendor relationships to staff leadership and homeowner relations. You'll report directly to the President of the Board and serve as the face of Maui Sunset for owners, guests, vendors, and government agencies alike. You will be provided a two-bedroom condominium as part of your compensation package.

What You'll Bring

•     5+ years of AOAO management or comparable hospitality leadership experience

•     5+ years managing multi-million-dollar budgets, A/R, and A/P

•     Extensive experience overseeing vendors, contractors, and complex projects

•     3+ years working in Facilities Maintenance or Construction; preferably in a leadership position.

•     5+ years leading staff — hiring, mentoring, and handling performance matters

•     Working knowledge of CC&Rs, AOAO Bylaws, and Board governance

•     Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills, and a Can-Do attitude.

•     Comfort with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and database management

•     College degree desirable or equivalent job experience

•     Maui resident preferred

Schedule

Primarily weekdays, with occasional evenings/weekends as needed

Benefits

3 weeks vacation, paid sick time, health/dental coverage, housing provided (no pets). Salary to $70k commensurate with experience.
