Role: Advanced Database Administrator

Location: Nashville, TN

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex database systems
  • Optimize database performance and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database problems
  • Develop and implement database security best practices
  • Manage database backups and disaster recovery procedures
  • Analyze data and be able to offer solutions to correct and consolidate data
  • Work with developers and other IT professionals to ensure that database systems meet the needs of the business

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in database administration
  • Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
  • Experience with Postgre SQL
  • Experience with database design, performance tuning, and security
  • Experience with database backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Experience with cloud-based database platforms, such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database (a plus)
