Payactiv is seeking an experienced Database Developer to join our dynamic Engineering team. You will play a crucial role in developing, testing, improving, and maintaining both new and existing databases to ensure efficient and effective data retrieval. Your expertise will contribute to system consistency and support our financial domain projects. This position is based out of our Milpitas CA office.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain new and existing databases to ensure efficient data retrieval and management.
• Collaborate closely with developers, administrators, and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements.
• Ensure system consistency and reliability by adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Design and implement database solutions, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views using T-SQL.
• Produce high-quality code and resolve complex design and architecture issues.
• Perform database performance tuning, diagnose and troubleshoot errors, and recommend emerging database technologies.
• Create and manage comprehensive database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
• Automate recurring database tasks to improve efficiency.
• Maintain and enforce database standards, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Utilize PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills for database automation and management.
• Implement SSIS and SSRS for data integration and reporting.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking in resolving technical challenges.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in database development, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.
