Job description

The Sales & Marketing Intern will be responsible to train under the mentorship of the Director of Sales, and other dealership personnel assigned to mentor specific functions/disciplines.

Complete the MPG training curriculum within 12 months.

Complete TMI within 12 months.

Attend all MPG, Peterbilt, and third party training classes as assigned.

Study truck and equipment specifications to improve knowledge of product performance and application.

Assist with MPG marketing activities

Gather market data and conduct research

New & Used Inventory Management (weekly):

๏‚ท Stage trucks and take pictures from multiple perspectives

๏‚ท Upload pictures to online databases

๏‚ท Pictures and descriptions uploaded to publications (print & electronic) in coordination with marketing

Maintain used truck flyers/posters for in location marketing and sales support, coordinated with marketing

CRM general maintenance

๏‚ท Remove and consolidate duplicate records as needed

๏‚ท Support sales team on CRM related questions as needed

๏‚ท Support sales management on generating reports as needed

Constantly operate a computer and other office machines such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printers.

Work in all kinds of weather out of doors as needed.

Daily will sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, handle, finger, feel, talk, hear, and see.

Term & Timelines

Typically 12 months. Flex schedule to work alongside collegiate schedule during school year, full time during the summer months (June through August).

Education

High School graduate or GED required. Open to college sophomores through seniors.

Moderate to intermediate computer skills with fundamental computer operations, spreadsheets, word processing, database, e-mail, and CRM software.

Language Skills

The ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, legal documents, and government regulations

The ability to write reports, and business correspondence.

The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions, common inquires, or complaints, from customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

The ability of performing basic math as well as calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, statistics, area, circumference, and volume.

The ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability

The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must have a valid CDL driverโ€™s license or be able to attain a CDL driverโ€™s license within six months of hire date and meet insurability requirements with the Companyโ€™s insurance company.

Travel

Three days per week should be allotted for contacting new and established customers to follow up on appointments that were previously scheduled.
