Job description

Oracle Database Administrator
Oracle Exadata Admin: Responsible for the support of migration efforts utilizing Oracle Cloud@Customer with Exadata, releases of Oracle, installing, upgrading and patching Oracle databases. Writes scripts or JCL and tuning complex SQL code. Analyzes and resolve data issues and troubleshoots problems. Responsible for tuning existing and new databases. Maintains databases, ongoing systems technical support, and ensure the integrity of the environment. Participate in projects as required. Other duties as assigned.
  • Design and plan Exadata deployments and configurations
  • Migrate databases onto and off of Exadata x7 to x9 or X10
  • Perform platform health checks
  • Perform periodic patches/updates for both DOMU and system patches
  • Tune performance of Oracle Databases on Exadata
  • Oracle Exadata Patching (GI, DB, DOMU)
  • ADG Active Data Guard Configuration in multiple Data Centers
