Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust, scalable database automation solutions, advise software engineers on database internals, and execute database benchmarking with supporting automation. Perform on-call duties encompassing incident response, troubleshooting, and customer support, as well as presenting database best practices at conferences and workshops. Serve as a technical leader with a system-wide architectural view of database solutions, capable of independently delivering results with limited guidance. Demonstrate expertise in designing and implementing highly available, secure, scalable, and cost-effective database systems while balancing short-term technical needs with long-term business objectives. Responsible for ownership of database architecture, driving best practices, setting team standards, and proactively addressing architectural deficiencies. Function as an integral team member, influence team strategy, mentor other engineers, and resolve complex or endemic problems.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and five years of progressive post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): (1) designing and developing robust and scalable database automation solutions; (2) advising software engineers on database internals ; (3) executing and building automation around database benchmarking; (4) with code database management tooling in PL/SQL and Java; (5) defining specifications for database specific roadmap items; (6) working with solutions architecture of database systems for customers; and (7) performing on-call duties, including incident response, troubleshooting, and customer support.
