The Business Development Manager, Accessories will focus on driving sales growth, increasing market share, and expanding customer relationships through strategic business development and technical solution selling. This role requires deep knowledge of Accessories products, markets, competitors, and customers, through the development of growth strategies, identification of opportunities, and supporting the product portfolio. The position also collaborates with sales, channel partners, and customers to provide technical support, managing key relationships, and achieving product-line sales objectives.
You will make an impact in this role by:
  • Develop serial production opportunities and increase the market share for the Accessories Division Product line while also increasing the Company's visibility and enhancing its image at target customer accounts.
  • Develop a complete understanding of the Accessories product offering as well as marketplace, its competitors, and the associated products and pricing. Develop SWOT analysis to analyze the opportunities and increase market intelligence.
  • Develop a complete understanding of the customer systems requirements for the product line, both for the Company, competitors and the associated pricing.
  • Recommend product line enhancements and new products necessary to profitability in order to grow the divisional sales target.
  • Develop multi-year strategic sales growth plan at target customers, applications for the division.
  • Participate in product gap analysis with the product management team to develop robust product portfolio to support strategic growth.
  • Drive discussions with current and potential customer/channel partners in collaboration with the Market managers, RVPs and Accessories Division team.
  • Support channel partners with training, marketing, and joint sales efforts
  • Collaborate with multiple team members to understand customer requirements and provide technical support during the pre-sales process.
  • Understand customer requirements and develop product requirements and design/select product solutions accordingly.
  • Support existing relationships with our traditional distributors, Regional Sales Managers and Direct Market Sales Managers.
  • Build relationships with project stakeholders at customers such as design engineers, reliability engineers, purchasing, etc.
  • Document customer interactions, technical issues, and solutions in our supporting databases, i.e. MS Dynamics 365.
  • Analyze and supply market data to the Company and record the detail in the company CRM system.
  • Support, recommend, guide, direct and/or implement strategies to meet the sales objectives set by the Company using technical and solution selling.
  • Prioritize, schedule, budget and complete project goals as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Traveling (including driving) is required. Overnight travel of 2-3 nights per week is frequent.

To be considered for the Business Development Manager, Accessories role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:
  • Experience with technical services is preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience in the fluid power industry is preferred.
  • Certified Fluid Power - Hydraulic Specialist certification preferred. A willingness to obtain certification is required.
