Job Description

Position: Jr Database Developer 

Duration: Full-Time 

Location: Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a real time data warehouse environment and create real time feed to all subscriber application from Data warehouse

Experience on Type 2 Dimension Data modeling and Historical ETL 

Develop and support SQL server database objects and code for BAU Support.

Develop and support SSIS integration jobs required to manage integration between application databases and the corporate data warehouse, including

XML/CSV/Excel integration Business & Technical Reconciliations

Develop and support SSRS reports (deployed on SharePoint).

Provide and maintain documentation for all developed objects and processes.

Use TFS to track all end to end changes and artifacts

Follow strict change control process throughout development lifecycle

Develop and run test scripts to ensure the quality of code and integrity

Testing against acceptance criteria for requirements

Following data / integration design patterns and architecture as prescribed by the Lead and/or Architect.

Qualifications

Two to four years working as a productive member of the Database team supporting MSBI initiatives 

Basic task management and organizational skills for self

Willingness to take responsibility and ownership for tasks and issues

Ability to follow through on the analysis, communication and resolution of issues and problems

Willingness and ability to provide and maintain high quality documentation to strict deadlines 

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various teams (BA/Architects/Support/Business) while working on data quality issues

Good communication and documentation skills


Qualifications

Two to four years working as a productive member of the Database team supporting MSBI initiatives.
