We are seeking an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) SME to support mission-critical federal systems within secure, highly regulated environments.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role responsible for the full lifecycle administration, performance optimization, security hardening, and sustainment of large-scale Oracle database environments. Your work will directly support national security initiatives, operational readiness, and enterprise platform stability.
You will operate in a 24x7 mission environment, ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems while collaborating with cross-functional technical teams. Key Responsibilities Administer, monitor, and sustain Oracle database environments (10g, 11g, 12c) across Linux and Windows platforms
Perform database health checks, performance monitoring, and capacity planning
Apply patches and updates (CPU/PSU) using OPatch, including validation activities
Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN (hot, cold, supplemental backups)
Support high-availability and disaster recovery architectures, including RAC and Data Guard
Execute database refreshes, clones, and migrations using Data Pump, SQL Loader, and scripting
Tune database and SQL performance using AWR, ADDM, SQL Tuning Advisor, and OEM
Implement and maintain database security, user roles, and access controls in compliance with DISA STIGs
Troubleshoot Tier III / Tier IV database issues related to performance, replication, security, and integration
Support application teams with database changes, releases, and runtime issue resolution
Develop and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts for automation and monitoring
Create and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and disaster recovery runbooks
Operate within ITSM and change management frameworks (e.g., Remedy, JIRA or equivalent)
Support compliance requirements, security audits, and operational readiness reviews
Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and application teams to remediate findings
Provide support for 24x7 systems, including on-call or rotational coverage as required Required Qualifications Active Top Secret clearance
10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in enterprise or federal environments
Strong hands-on experience administering Oracle databases (10gโ€“12c) in production environments
Experience with performance tuning, backup/recovery, patching, and security hardening

Experience supporting systems in secure or regulated environments (DoD, DHS, or similar)
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
