To thrive as a Database Automation Engineer, you need expertise in database management, scripting languages (such as Python or PowerShell), and a solid understanding of automation processes, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with database platforms (like MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle), automation tools (such as Ansible or Jenkins), and certifications like Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate are typically beneficial.
