Job description

Job Role: Senior Automation Engineer

Location: Raritan, NJ

Please note, this role is not able to offer visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future.

We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with deep expertise in PowerShell and cloud-native technologies to design and deliver scalable, enterprise automation solutions. This role focuses on building event-driven, API-integrated systems using serverless cloud services (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions) that enhance platform interoperability and reduce operational overhead.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain advanced PowerShell-based automation solutions for enterprise orchestration and system integration, including scripting (PowerShell/Python) to optimize endpoint operations within ServiceNow.
  • Design and implement serverless, event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda or Azure Functions to enable scalable automation and real-time processing across enterprise platforms.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate PowerShell solutions with ServiceNow, using Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for effective data management and reporting within ServiceNow and related databases.
  • Build and manage REST API-driven integrations to enable seamless interoperability between platforms
  • Document processes, scripts, and workflows for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $115,000 to $130,000 yearly depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
