Job description

The Cloud Database Administrator Engineer is responsible for the architecture, engineering, automation, security, availability, and operational support of The Clearing House's enterprise database platforms across on-premises and cloud environments. This role serves as a senior technical leader responsible for Db2 LUW, Microsoft SQL Server, AWS database services, and database platform modernization initiatives. The engineer will design and implement highly available, secure, automated, and scalable database solutions supporting mission-critical payment systems and corporate applications. This position requires deep expertise in database engineering, cloud infrastructure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, disaster recovery planning, and enterprise-scale database migrations. Qualifications desired: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. AWS Certified Database Specialty. AWS Solutions Architect Professional. Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate. IBM Db2 Professional Certification. Experience with PostgreSQL and cloud-native PostgreSQL services. Experience with Dell EMC Data Domain and Power Protect Data Manager. Experience with Kubernetes and containerized database workloads. Familiarity with observability platforms including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and Datadog. Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments.
