Job Description

Key Areas of Responsibility:


Ability to work as part of a team to plan, design, build, deploy and maintain SQL Server databases.ย  Provide technical and operational support to other departments as needed to support business objectives.ย  Additionally:
ย  ย  ย Provide 24x7 on call support as part of a team rotation
ย  ย  ย Provide application, database and system troubleshootingย 
ย  ย  ย Provide application, database and system performance tuning
ย  ย  ย Provide technical support for database related projects
ย  ย  ย Install and upgrade of SQL Server and associated software including third party tools
ย  ย  ย Provide basic database administration activities such as backup, recovery, monitoring and management
ย  ย  ย Develop documentation for other DBAs, developers and end-users
ย  ย  ย Build and maintain SQL Server Maintenance Plans and optimization jobs
ย  ย  ย Manage SQL Server jobs and schedules

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
ย  ย  ย Good written and verbal communication skills
ย  ย  ย Good troubleshooting skills
ย  ย  ย One plus years of experience installing, configuring and managing SQL Server databases.
