Job description

This role sits within a dynamic team focused on cloud database administration and performance optimization. The Sr Database Administrator will take ownership of the database platform, ensuring reliability, security, and performance across both on-premises and cloud environments. This position will play a key role in the strategic migration to Microsoft Fabric, collaborating closely with Azure infrastructure teams and participating in an on-call rotation for 24/7 support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the database platform, ensuring reliability and performance across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Lead the strategic migration to Microsoft Fabric, implementing best practices for database management.
  • Administer Azure database services, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL databases.
  • Perform performance tuning and optimization to enhance database efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and manage backup and recovery processes effectively.
  • Collaborate with Azure infrastructure teams to address incidents and conduct root cause analysis.

Required Qualifications:
