Position Overview

Lakeland Industries is a global leader in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), dedicated to protecting workers in demanding environments through safety, innovation, and operational excellence.

The Human Resources Development Program role is designed for junior or senior undergraduate students, recent graduates, or early‑career professionals interested in gaining hands‑on experience in Human Resources. This position provides foundational exposure to HR operations, HRIS systems, compliance, employee records management, and cross‑functional business processes within a global organization.

This development opportunity is structured to help build the skills needed for future roles in HR operations, HRIS, talent management, benefits administration, or business support functions.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry, document preparation, scanning, and record organization across HR and business systems.
  • Assist with full‑cycle talent acquisition activities, including posting roles, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding processes.
  • Enter, update, and maintain employee data in HRIS or ERP systems (training provided).
  • Support onboarding processes, including document collection, I‑9 review assistance, personnel file management, and workflow coordination.
  • Maintain accurate logs, spreadsheets, and HR records; ensure all entries meet compliance and documentation standards.
  • Assist with processing updates related to employee changes, benefits, training records, and reporting.
  • Help manage document uploads, indexing, and version control in employee document systems.
  • Update internal HR databases, organizational charts, and departmental tracking files.
  • Prepare routine HR reports, dashboards, and summaries for leadership.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources team.
  • Assist with office coordination tasks such as supply ordering, scheduling, and maintaining shared HR workspaces.

Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing (Junior/Senior) or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general computer skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational/time‑management abilities.
  • Willingness to learn HRIS systems, HR processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Coursework in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business, or Data Analytics.
  • Familiarity with Excel formulas, basic reporting tools, or HR concepts.
  • Prior internship or part‑time experience in HR, administration, customer service, or an office environment.
