POSITION SUMMARY:

Milliman is undertaking a major business transformation program to replace and modernize our HRIS, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services Automation systems. As part of the Data Enablement Team, we are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and seamless migration of data throughout this transformation. This role will collaborate closely with business and technical teams, supporting data mapping, migration, validation, and integration activities to enable a smooth transition to new enterprise platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for prioritized data domains, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs.
  • Profile data and analyze source systems and data structures to assess content, quality, and structure, supporting accurate mapping and migration processes of master data and data hub models.
  • Develop comprehensive data mapping documents, including source-to-target specifications and transformation logic.
  • Work with Master Data Management (MDM) and integration teams to validate mappings and ensure alignment with enterprise data models.
  • Support workshops and working sessions to refine business rules, data definitions, and domain onboarding plans.
  • Assist in identifying data quality issues and contribute to metadata and lineage documentation.
  • Create and maintain data catalogs to ensure consistent documentation, easy discovery, and effective management of enterprise data assets.
  • Coordinate with platform subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure mappings are compatible with MDM, data hub, and integration platform configurations.
  • Track mapping progress, dependencies, and issues across teams and tools, providing timely updates and resolving blockers.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to understand data requirements for HR, Finance, Legal, and Professional Services functions.
  • Analyze and document existing data sources, structures, and business rules within legacy systems.
  • Develop data mapping specifications to ensure accurate migration to new systems.
  • Support the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data, including profiling, cleansing, and validating migrated data.
  • Perform data quality assessments and implement data validation processes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in designing and testing data integrations between new enterprise platforms and other business applications.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, flows, and transformation rules.
  • Identify and resolve data-related issues during migration and post-implementation.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to project leaders and stakeholders regarding data migration progress and risks.
  • Support ongoing data governance and quality initiatives as new systems are adopted.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar data-focused role, preferably supporting large-scale system implementations or migrations.
  • The ideal candidate must have previous experience with data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and ETL processes.
  • The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with SQL, Python and working with relational databases.
  • The ideal candidate must have previous experience with data migration and data integration tools.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Experience with HRIS, Finance, Legal, or Professional Services Automation systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Experience in the insurance, risk management, or financial services sectors.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to data privacy and security.

LOCATION:

This is a remote role. The expected application deadline for this job is June 18th, 2026

COMPENSATION:

The overall salary range for this role is $78,800 - $145,130. For candidates residing in:

  • Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Newark, San Jose, San Francisco, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $90,620 - $145,130
  • All other locations the salary range is $78,800 - $126,200

A combination of factors will be considered, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, etc.
