Job Description

Responsibilities


As an engineer, the incumbent would be responsible for evaluating, developing, maintaining and testing BI solutions for various analytics projects


Be responsible for building data warehouses, data marts & OLAP solutions


Plan, create, coordinate, and deploy data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.


Create best practices for data loading and extraction (ETL framework).


Develop data architecture, data modeling, and ETL mapping solutions and data warehouse consistency.


Would have a strong focus on collecting, parsing, managing, analyzing and visualizing large sets of data to turn information into insights using multiple platforms


Qualification & Experience


6+ years of experience as a Data Warehouse Architect / Developer and SQL server


4+ years of data modeling experience, and knowledge of 3NF, Star-Schema and other data


6 + years of experience working in SQL Server, SSIS and SSAS or SSRS


Ability to work with multiple data sources


Ability to develop, execute and analyze Multidimensional expressions (MDX) and DMX queries


Ability to quickly create Analysis Service objects like data source views, dimensions and cubes and do enhancements to existing objects.


Experience creating Tabular models is an advantage.


Proven ability with SQL Server database design best practices and performance tuning


Demonstrated solid understanding of Data Warehouse design theory, including dimensional data modeling


Significant experience developing logical / physical dimensional models, OLAP processes


Proven ability using SQL Server 2012 (or 2014), SSIS Packages, Procedures, Functions, SQL, and other SQL Server Database Objects


Proven individual contributor and team player with effective communication skills


Experience working collaboratively with Stakeholders, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Designers and DBAs with the common goal of delivering value to the business

Qualifications

Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical degree
