Job Description:
The Data Visualization Associate is responsible for a wide-range of routine-to-complex projects such as charts and graphs, written content, flow diagrams, infographics, presentation visuals, illustrations, publication design, cover designs, brochures, posters, and logos. Requirements include delivering on-brand concepts and designs within digital, print and other real-world mediums, ensuring that designs are implemented in full adherence to brand guidelines and under tight deadlines and fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities:
A Data Visualization Associate will have the ability to translate requirements from a creative brief into designs that effectively communicate the intended messages for our clients, while maintaining a strong visual style that integrates seamlessly within an overarching branding system. This role is responsible for performing, administering, and advising on work that ensures the quality of products across all ISA client projects, marketing initiatives, internal communications, and social media platforms. Key responsibilities include maintaining product quality throughout the product life cycle, monitoring operations to prevent defects and verify adherence to quality plans and requirements and analyzing adverse quality trends or conditions while initiating corrective actions as needed. The position requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of quality assurance principles and techniques, and knowledge of relevant product characteristics and development processes. Candidates must be able to collaborate closely with a dynamic team and demonstrate motivation to contribute to a growing company.
Duties:
  • Conceptualize, design, and deliver data-driven visual solutions across a wide range of formats, including dashboards, reports, presentations, and digital media.
  • Transform complex datasets into clear, compelling visualizations, infographics, and narratives that support decision-making and client objectives.
  • Develop charts, graphs, and technical diagrams that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

    • Support the creation of visually engaging content strategies, including social media campaigns that incorporate data insights.
    • Monitor and analyze website and social media performance metrics, translating findings into visual reports and recommendations.
    • Advise on visual communication strategies for events, presentations, and external engagements.
  • Internally Focused Responsibilities (Client Delivery):
    • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop data visualization products aligned with client goals.
    • Support communications strategies by integrating data insights into messaging, reports, and presentations.
    • Conduct audience and stakeholder analysis to tailor data visualizations and messaging effectively.
    • Participate in quality assurance processes, including review of data accuracy, visual clarity, and storytelling effectiveness.
    • Maintain and enhance internal visualization templates, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of, and skill in drafting, developing, and formatting documents through a variety of software platforms, such as:
    • Adobe Suite (Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat Pro/DC, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, etc.), Canva, Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc.)
    • Proficiency in data visualization and design tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
    • Ability to clean, analyze, and interpret datasets to generate meaningful insights.
    • Familiarity with tools such as Canva for rapid visual content development.
  • Teamwork:
    • Collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams, managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
    • Communicate clearly with stakeholders to ensure alignment on data insights and visualization outputs.
    • Provide responsive support and contribute to team objectives and strategic initiatives.

Clearance Required:
As a condition of employment, ISA employees are expected to have or be eligible for a Secret-level security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). All ISA employees are required to uphold and maintain trustworthiness and suitability requirements of the U.S. federal government.
Experience Required:
Experience should include but is not limited to working knowledge of:
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience. Experience and education can be combined to meet this requirement. 5+ years of experience in government/defense contracting preferred.
  • Graphic design (5-7 years Preferred)
  • Strong Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (5-7 years Preferred)
  • Proficient in AI tools and U.S. Government systems, including NIPR GPT and GenAI.mil (Preferred)
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications such as CANVA, with a required emphasis on the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, Access, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, oral and written communication skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, law, information technology, or any other related field (Required). A master's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • New graduates with relevant internship experience will work well in entry-level roles.
  • For senior levels, relevant experience in a managerial position is an added advantage.
Certification:
Preferred certifications include data visualization and analytics credentials such as Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), or similar (e.g., Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Qlik Sense Business Analyst Certification, SAS Visual Business Analytics Certification, IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate).
