Sr. Data Analyst

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is looking for a Senior Engineer to join the Infotainment Software Department, which undertakes various innovation projects related to infotainment and UI/UX systems software development efforts concerning the next generation of vehicle software architecture for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles, as well as the production application of software features and service contents

The Position:

The Sr. Data Analyst would analyze large datasets from connected vehicles, specifically focusing on in-car entertainment, navigation, connectivity, and user experience, in an effort to identify software improvements that would contribute to enhancing user satisfaction, optimizing system performance, and driving engagement with digital services

What You Will Do:
  • Analyze user interaction data from in-car infotainment systems (e.g., touch screen usage, voice command effectiveness, media consumption, etc.) to identify trends and usability pain points
  • Define, create, and maintain key performance indicators and dashboards to track the health and usage of infotainment features
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations that improve the user experience
  • Work with product managers and engineers to determine and optimize the data collected from infotainment systems
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally
What You Will Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or an engineering-related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist, or product-focused analyst, ideally in the automotive, consumer electronics, or mobile app industries
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, and R
  • Proven experience with data visualization tools, like Tableau, and analytic platforms, such as Amplitude and Firebase
  • Ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent time management, self-management, and organization skills
  • An ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills
