Data Visualization Specialist
Location: Richmond, Virginia (Remote)
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Visualization Specialist to join our team and help transform the way we build and deliver our applications. As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will analyze and investigate data, generate dashboards and reports using Tableau, participate in web development, and partner with business lines to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the design, development, and validation of metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive key business decisions using Tableau.
  • Design and develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and other business intelligence tools.
  • Learn new data visualization tools to analyze results, evaluate performance, and project future trends.
  • Champion processes and procedures across the organization.
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Explore, extract, cleanse, and combine data from multiple sources and systems.
  • Continually improve data quality, build monitoring tools, and issue alerts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, design, and execute solutions.
  • Lead dashboard demo sessions, develop training materials, and produce dashboard documentation.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of professional work experience. Candidates should have a robust portfolio outlining previous projects.
Technical Skills: Extensive experience building visualizations and dashboards. Experience with UI development using Javascript, HTML, and CSS. Proficiency with Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight or similar reporting tools is required. Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization methods is necessary.
