Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join their team. The role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust data solutions that support the organization's data needs.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop scalable data architectures that align with the organization's business objectives and data requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into comprehensive data models, ensuring data integrity and quality.
• Use industry-standard data modelling techniques and tools to create conceptual, logical, and physical data models that represent the organization's data landscape.
• Evaluate and select appropriate data management technologies and tools, including DB2, Snowflake, Quicksight, Python, and AWS services, to support the organization's data infrastructure.
• Develop and implement data integration strategies, including ETL/ELT processes, to facilitate the movement and transformation of data across different systems.
• Design efficient data ingest/ingress mechanisms to acquire data from various sources and ensure its timely and accurate availability for analysis.
• Design and optimize data storage and retrieval mechanisms, ensuring efficient and high-performance data access.
• Utilize data visualization tools such as Quicksight to create insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations that enable data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the data lifecycle.
• Establish and enforce data governance practices, including data naming conventions, data definitions, and data lineage.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to implement data solutions and provide technical guidance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data management, data modelling, data integration, data visualization, and data ingest/ingress.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect or a similar role, with a strong track record of designing and implementing data solutions of more than 10 years.
• In-depth understanding of database technologies such as DB2 and Snowflake, including data modelling, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Quicksight to create insightful reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting tasks.
• Solid knowledge of AWS data services, including data warehousing, data lakes, and serverless computing.
• Familiarity with data integration techniques and tools, such as ETL/ELT processes and data integration platforms.
• Experience with data ingest/ingress mechanisms and technologies to acquire data from various sources.
• Experience with industry-standard data modelling techniques and tools (e.g., ER/Studio, ERwin, Power Designer).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Preferred:
