As the next department analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and maintaining data visualizations such as dashboards, scorecards, reports, presentations, graphs, charts and maps, as well as the supporting tools, methods and processes that effectively communicate MDOT's progress toward its mission and strategic objectives.
- Collaborating with system and data owners to access, clean and integrate data from multiple sources, and automate data pipelines and workflows.
- Assisting with performance analysis to identify trends, outliers and variances from targets or benchmarks, as well as highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.
- Presenting findings and visualizations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting performance monitoring and management in support of MDOT programs, projects and related systems.
- Contribute to the development of realistic and meaningful performance targets in collaboration with program areas.
The "Salary" listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry (9) level through the maximum rate at the experienced (P11) level. Based on education and experience, candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between
15 and 35 personal days and
13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take
12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
Paid Holidays: Eligible employees receive 13 or 14 paid holidays each year including New Year's Eve and Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Election Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Friday, Christmas Eve and Day.
