Job description

Job Summary:

Foxconn Houston has several Lighthouse Factory plants manufacturing servers and server cabinets. The company is hiring dedicated analysts to transform data into actionable insights. This role collaborates with data engineers to visualize data from all kinds of sources within the manufacturing factory setting. The data analyst will analyze, design, create, maintain, update, manage and present Tableau dashboards and stories for the factory management teams. The analyst will also get cross-trained in Cicada, an internal ETL tool, to be self-sufficient with data pipelines and data sets. This role will manage big data that are cross-factory, cross-business-units and cross-systems.

Responsibilities:

  • 10%, Analyze datasets using SQL, Cicada and Python.
  • 60%, Design, create, maintain, update, manage and present Tableau Dashboards.
  • 10%, Identify trends and patterns.
  • 10%, Present actionable insights and findings to stakeholders.
  • 10%, ETL/ manage data pipelines using Cicada.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Tableau or other data visualization tools, SQL and Excel.
  • Native speaking in Chinese Mandarin with ability to read the language and work in a professional setting.
  • Database development using PostgreSQL 11+.
  • Experience with data warehouse and data lake experiments.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to individual and organizational success.
  • Excellent analytical and advanced troubleshooting skills with end-users/clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new things and continuously drive process improvement.

Plus/Desired:

  • With Electronics Manufacturing Industry domain know-how.
  • Experience with ETL tool programming, debugging, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Experience with Git Repositories (GITLAB) or JIRA.
  • Experience with Big Data, Python, Kafka and Spark programming, debugging, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Database development using Kudu 1.10.0 and higher, or Hive 2.1.1 and higher.
  • Experience with backend API integration.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems or related fields.
  • Any Tableau or data visualization professional certifications are a plus.
