We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Project Chemist/Data Validator to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position, located at any of our Haley & Aldrich offices, nationwide.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting site assessment and remediation projects by performing comprehensive data validation on soil, water, and air environmental laboratory results. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance, collaborating closely with project teams nationwide, and providing technical guidance on environmental data management and quality assurance. This position offers the opportunity for broad project exposure, technical growth, and interdisciplinary teamwork within a leading environmental consulting firm. 
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

  • Serve as scientist/chemist to perform project support and data validation services. 
  • Ensure compliance with technical and quality assurance requirements. 
  • Write or review Quality Assurance Project Plans. 
  • Provide guidance in value-added ways for our scientists and engineers to leverage data to make informed decisions. 
  • Work closely with teams working in other offices across the US.  
  • Understand project requirements and client needs. 
  • Lead portions of technical project work from project scoping through final deliverables under the direction of senior staff. 
  • Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, or related subject. Chemistry preferred. 
  • 4+ years of environmental data validation experience, including a demonstratable ability to review data according to the National Functional Guidelines. 
  • Proficiency with data acquisition, instrument reporting, and Laboratory Information Management systems or environmental relational database management systems such as EQuIS. 
  • Knowledge of Federal and state environmental regulatory requirements. 
  • Proficient technical writing, verbal communication, reasoning, and time management skills. 
  • Able to work independently on individual tasks supporting technical work and exhibit the ability to manage tasks and perform work on multiple projects or multiple tasks simultaneously. 
  • Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership. 

The salary range for this position nationwide is 65,000 - 85,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible to participate in the company's discretionary bonus program. This role may be eligible to receive a sign-on bonus.
