Overview
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is searching for a Survey Office Technician to join our dynamic team, in St. Charles, MO.
This position will be at the forefront of diverse projects. Your ability to assist in the preparation of topographic / surface preparation, boundary / ALTA / Cadastral surveys will lay the groundwork for a vast range of projects. You will be able to process and build with spatial data collected through drone flights, scanning, lidar and other sources in time through on the job training. Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related survey experience, field/office
  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • AutoDesk Civil3D
    • Microsoft Excel, Word, Office products.
    • Using surveying software applications, processing, and interpreting data.
    • Preparation of Topographic Surfaces, Contouring, spot elevation labeling, surface analysis for correctness.
    • Raising awareness about boundary, easement and parcel data.
    • Review of legal descriptions and ability to draft property boundaries, easements, bearings and distances.
    • Preparing data and detailed base-files for use by Project Manager in Survey, Civil, and other practices.
    • Survey research related to deeds and plats for property boundary surveys.
  • Preferred experience with:
    • Trimble Business Center (TBC)
    • Using surveying software applications, processing, and interpreting data
    • Uploading/downloading from field data collectors.
    • Surface clean-up and modeling in AutoDesk Civil3D.
    • AutoDesk Recap point cloud import familiarity.
    • PIX4D Drone processing familiarity.
  • Ability to operate motorized equipment and possession of sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions.
  • Valid driver's license required.
