Job Summary
The Senior Director, Data Strategy establishes and leads the product organization that translates strategic goals into executable, organization-wide roadmaps. This leader sets the operating model for digital product management, ensures cross-functional alignment, and drives measurable business outcomes across all use cases (Facilities, Patient Data, Care Teams, Device Data, Data Platform, etc.).
Essential Functions

  • Own the vision & product strategy for ZOLL CMS's data transformation, aligning all use cases to business value, measurable KPIs, and target-state architecture.
  • Build and scale the product organization, including hiring Product Managers, establishing standards, templates, and processes.
  • Drive the enterprise roadmap across business, engineering, architecture, and data teams; resolve prioritization conflicts and dependency bottlenecks.
  • Institutionalize product practices (backlog discipline, continuous discovery, outcome-driven planning).
  • Serve as the executive translator, ensuring business leaders understand what is being built, why, and how it impacts operations.
  • Champion the change from engineering-led to product-led delivery, reinforcing clarity of roles (Product = What/Why; Engineering = How).
  • Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, including clinical, regulatory, data governance, and IT standards.
  • Measure & communicate value delivered across all programs (adoption, efficiency gains, data quality KPIs, cycle time improvements).
  • Escalation point for feasibility considerations, tradeoffs, and high-priority issues impacting scope or delivery.
  • Assess the business needs for expanding the digital and product strategy department. Hire, train, and develop a team.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline is required.
  • Master's degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years in digital product management with experience building/leading teams is required.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong background in data platforms, transformation programs, and interoperability.
  • FHIR/HL7 experience is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communicator, facilitator, and cross-functional negotiator.
  • Able to guide teams through ambiguity and drive toward targeted outcomes.


Travel Requirements

  • 20% Estimated travel.

The annual salary for this position is:

$180,000.00 to $230,000.00

This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
