Job Title: NAVWAR Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Outside Continental US * * * The Opportunity: As a CACI Mission & Engineering NAVWAR Analyst (RF Data Analyst) supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC), you will contribute to enhancing the Department of Defense's (DoD) understanding of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) vulnerabilities and threats. Located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, the JNWC is the DOD's Center of Excellence for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and PNT capabilities integration . In this pivotal role, you will help develop critical navigation warfare insights to support operational readiness and strategic decision-making across multiple defense agencies and coalition partners. You will leverage advanced analysis software to process and interpret RF data collected from field events and military exercises, providing actionable insights. Your work will directly impact joint planning, Operation Plan (OPLAN) analysis, and the execution of NAVWAR operations across all domains and military operations. You will collaborate with engineering teams to gather analysis and data requirements during the planning phase, and develop test plans to characterize and assess navigation hardware performance. Additionally, you will handle requests to identify potential RF interference that could impact space launches, ensuring thorough analysis and timely resolution. Responsibilities: * You will help develop critical navigation warfare insights to enhance the Department of Defense's understanding of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) vulnerabilities and threats, supporting operational readiness and strategic decision-making across multiple defense agencies and coalition partners.
* You will develop and script data processing workflows to create and maintain dashboards and reports, providing key insights to internal and external stakeholders within the Department of Defense.
* You shall leverage advanced analysis software to process and interpret RF data collected from field events and military exercises, providing actionable insights.
* You will collaborate with engineering teams to gather analysis and data requirements during the planning phase, and develop test plans to characterize and assess navigation hardware performance.
* You shall handle requests to identify potential RF interference that could impact space launches, ensuring thorough analysis and timely resolution.
* You will provide real-time guidance and expertise on data quality during the testing of navigation hardware in field tests and military exercises.
* You shall actively participate in shaping the strategic direction of PNT systems through insightful data analysis and the creation of actionable recommendations.
* You will keep up to date with emerging technologies in data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, applying them to PNT-related challenges to support JNWC's goals.
* You shall use data insights to identify trends, patterns, and emerging threats, aiding in shaping the operational environment and ensuring the JNWC's position as a leader in PNT superiority.
* You will travel in support of military exercises and operational field assessments, leveraging data analysis to enhance the organization's subject matter expertise and inform decision-making. Qualifications: Required: * Security Clearance: Must have an active secret clearance * Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen * Experience: 5 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, RF Engineering, or Data Science * Education: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in an Engineering field (Electrical, Mechanical, RF) or Data Science * Technical Foundation: A strong foundation in technical principles and data-driven methodologies * Proven Track Record: A proven track record of applying technical expertise to solve complex engineering problems and drive data-driven insights Desired: * Experience in Data Manipulation: Experience or familiarity in data manipulation, including cleaning, transforming, and analyzing large datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R * Coding for Data Analytics and Visualization: Experience coding for data analytics and visualization, utilizing languages such as Python, R, or JUMP to automate data workflows, perform statistical analysis, and create interactive reports or dashboards * Proficiency in Tools and Technologies: Proficient in some or all of the following tools and technologies: JUMP, GIANT, GIANT RPM, Builder, Systems Toolkit (STK), or other modeling and simulation programs - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
