IDEALFORCE have a Contract position available immediately for a Storage Consultant to join our customer in Phoenix,AZ. This is an ONSITE position. Please find below additional details about this job. Job Description

The Storage Administrator is responsible for management of all centralized storage technologies. This technology includes the various NAS environments, storage networks and all other technologies classified as a storage technology. Additional responsibilities include:
- Work experience with HP Data Protector required. Knowledge and work experience with EMC Data Domain and NetApp Data ONTAP and vRanger preferred.
- Work experience with backups and restores in Window 2000/2003/2008/2012 Server environments required.
Managing and maintaining the company's storage-based systems and the deployment of these storage technologies
Understanding business objectives and seeking ways to help the company meet these goals with storage technology
- Accountable for understanding the full architecture supporting the Storage/SAN and service provided across the agency.
- Responsible for all Capacity and Availability Management per ITIL v3 associated with Storage as an IT service (trending and monitoring to insure health of storage infrastructure).
- Accountable for evaluating the impact of proposed changes to Storage (either via projects, initiatives, or releases); identifying and evaluating risks and responses and making recommendations to the Management regarding whether changes should be approved.
Leads troubleshooting of service issues and makes recommendations regarding their resolution.
- Works with Network services and engineering groups to facilate issue resolution and service provision.
Assists in Infrastructure Standups for the network services team from a storage perspective.
- Provides engineering guidance for SAN administration team as required to support O&M activities to include provisioning.

Engineer exists as one of the Centers of Expertise within the Agency for SAN & NAS technologies and has hands on practical knowledge on HP, NetApp & EMC storage devices.

Qualifications

Operating Systems/Environment: Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Server (5 years' experience)
Misc. Applications: HP Data Protector (3 years' experience), EMC Data Domain (1 year experience - Preferred), NetApp Data ONTAP (1 year experience - Preferred)
