Job description

Welcome to D amp;F Equipment Sales (AL)
With a dedicated team and locations in both Alabama and Arkansas, D amp;F is committed to delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique demands of each industry we serve. Our full-service approach—combining Engineering, Fabrication, and Service amp; Installation—ensures that every project is executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Whether it’s custom-built conveyors, processing systems, or innovative material handling solutions, D amp;F does Whatever it Takes to help our customers succeed.
We are seeking a data-focused IT professional who can turn ERP data into meaningful business insights. This role centers on SQL development, reporting, and data analysis, while also supporting broader IT systems as needed.
The ideal candidate understands how business operations translate into data and can build accurate, useful reports that support decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Data, SQL amp; Reporting
  • Write and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and reporting logic within Microsoft SQL Server
  • Develop and support reports using Microsoft Report Server (SSRS)
  • Analyze and validate data using Excel and other tools
  • Design and build Power BI dashboards
  • Translate business needs into clear, reliable reporting solutions
  • Work with teams across the organization to ensure data is accurate, consistent, and actionable

Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
    • Ability to write complex queries, joins, and stored procedures independently
  • Experience building reports (SSRS or similar tools)
  • Strong understanding of data relationships and data integrity
  • Experience working with business data in an operational environment
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users
  • Candidates must be comfortable working with transactional business data and understanding how it reflects real-world processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems or similar business applications
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar visualization tools
  • Understanding of how data flows through business operations from initial transactions through reporting

What Will Make You Successful
  • You think in terms of how data connects across systems, not just how to write queries
  • You are comfortable working with real-world business data and understanding how it reflects operational processes
  • You can take a business question and turn it into a working report
  • You are adaptable and willing to contribute to both data and IT system-related needs

Impact of the Role
This position plays a key role in improving how the organization uses data across departments. You will work directly with business teams to transform raw ERP data into reporting and insights that support daily operations and long-term decisions.
