The Data Engineer position reports to the Principal Data Integration Architect and can be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas, or remotely for the right candidate. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

  • Implement ELT processes following DTS's Extract-Load-Transform architecture pattern and Snowflake-First principles
  • Build and maintain Snowflake-native transformations, data marts, and analytics-ready datasets
  • Ensure data quality through validation logic, monitoring, automated testing, and alerting
  • Collaborate with Data Architects to implement designs in alignment with platform standards
  • Document pipelines including data flow diagrams, source-to-target maps, and transformation logic in Confluence
  • Support legacy system data operations (MS SQL Server, SSIS) during migration period and contribute to repointing reports from legacy systems to Snowflake
  • Participate in on-call rotation for data platform operations
  • Follow DTS ACUMEN onboarding standards when integrating new data sources
