Job description

About Heart Space Collective
At Heart Space Collective, we believe in creating environments where neurodivergent children can thrive, learn, and most importantly, be themselves! This summer, we are running a dynamic, full-time, camp-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) program for amazing children with autism, aged 6 to 14. We are stepping out of the traditional clinic room and into a fun, highly engaging camp setting—and we need an exceptional Supervised Instructor Therapist to help bring the magic to life.

The Role
Are you ready to trade the desk for a summer of play? We are looking for a creative, energetic, and highly skilled Supervised Instructor Therapist to join our summer camp team. In this role, you will implement individualized ABA programming disguised as fun, camp-based activities. You won't just be running trials; you will be facilitating social games, encouraging peer interaction, and creating joyful learning moments.

If you aren't afraid to get silly, love taking initiative, and know how to seamlessly blend clinical ABA goals with summer camp fun, you are exactly who we are looking for!

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Play with Purpose: Implement naturalistic and structured ABA programming in a fast-paced, camp-style environment for children aged 6–14.
  • Be a Camp Leader: Facilitate group activities, social skills training, and recreational games while embedding individual client goals into the fun.
  • Take Initiative: Proactively adapt activities to suit varying sensory needs, engagement levels, and learning styles without needing to be asked.
  • Collect Meaningful Data: Accurately record data on skill acquisition and behavior reduction goals in real-time, maintaining high clinical standards amidst the camp action.
  • Collaborate: Work closely under the guidance of a Clinical Supervisor/RBA, actively participating in team meetings and implementing feedback to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Foster Connection: Build strong, positive, and empathetic relationships with the campers, ensuring they feel safe, supported, and understood.

What You Bring to the Team (Requirements):
  • Education: A diploma, degree, or post-graduate certificate with a focus on Applied Behaviour Analysis (e.g., Autism and Behavioural Science, Psychology, or a related field).
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of direct experience working as an Instructor Therapist implementing ABA programming.
  • Creativity & Playfulness: You genuinely enjoy playing! You know how to be animated, capture a child's attention, and turn a routine activity into a highly reinforcing experience.
  • Proactive Mindset: You are a self-starter who looks for ways to help, jump in, and elevate the program without waiting for direction.
  • Clinical Competence: Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies, reinforcement schedules, and data collection.
  • Clearances: Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check and up-to-date First Aid/CPR certification.

Why Join Heart Space Collective?
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Say goodbye to boring days. Every day is a new adventure!
  • Professional Growth: Receive high-quality, ongoing supervision and mentorship from experienced RBAs.
  • Meaningful Impact: Help children build confidence, make friends, and have a summer they will never forget.
  • Competitive Compensation: $26.00 - $32.00/hour based on experience.
