SUMMARY
JMI Sports seeks an experienced professional to join the partnership strategy and insights team, leveraging data insights to drive sponsorship sales and fulfillment to 20+ multimedia rights properties. The position will report to the Vice President, Partnership Strategy & Insights and requires strong communication and analytical skills, and a collaborative spirit to foster successful partnerships and drive business growth across the company's portfolio. This hire will work closely with company sales and operations, imbedded among a team that is highly motivated to deliver exceptional outcomes. Must be experience at aggregating data and packaging to be clearly understood and applied. The right candidate will excel at researching, interpreting, and delivering first- and third-party data into actionable insights for various stakeholders. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, very positive, and at ease in a fast-paced environment.
This in-person, full-time position is offered in Lexington, KY, and will service national requests. Occasional regional and national travel required. The newly opened 10,500 sq ft office space in downtown Lexington is nestled next to Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center, and is shared between corporate and UK Sports & Campus Marketing teams, directly connect to and closely integrated with the UK College of Communication and information.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide strategic research and data analytics support at the direction of the Vice President, Partnership Strategy & Insights to maximize revenue opportunities for the company and its properties
  • Perform and manage research and analytical evaluations of prospective sponsors, industries, categories, and new business ideas, ranging from new technologies to new properties
  • Translate complex data into clear, persuasive narratives to support sales strategy development for new business opportunities and key partnership renewals
  • Convert complex analytical insights into easily digestible data points to better frame our properties stories and unique selling proposition within their unique marketplaces
  • Collaborate with varying stakeholders to implement Go-To-Market strategies across properties, shaping pricing, sales approaches, strategies, and revenue generation
  • Leverage third-party data vendors to pull consumer and fan intelligence to deliver strategic and consultative sales support to sales teams
  • Analyze partnership performance metrics using internal and third-party data sources to provide media valuation reporting to properties, and identify trends, benchmarks, and new opportunities
  • Assist in optimizing pricing and inventory of all sponsorship assets across properties
  • Create dashboards and reports that communicate key metrics and ROI to internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Review weekly CRM reports to help leadership identify trends among individual sales efforts and property performance against defined Go-To-Market strategies
  • Lead the creation of compelling case studies that showcase partnership success stories and best practices
  • Utilize prospect database platforms to help properties identify and recommend target brand and category outreach
  • Develop and support ideations around "platform" sales opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Services team to review proposals, evaluate content, and refine the "tone" of presentations, assure conformity with brand standards, and assist in sales narrative development efforts
  • Serve as a critical member in developing RFP responses, corporate presentations, marketing and other proposals to expand the Company's footprint and revenues
  • Contribute to evaluations and planning around the allocation of company resources (both financial and manpower) to best meet the evolving needs of the company and its partners
  • Help close interdepartmental and internal/external knowledge gaps with research findings
  • Upon request, provide direct support to the Company's Executive team at-large
  • And other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in sports marketing, sports analytics, data science, economics, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in data analytics
  • 2+ years supporting corporate partnerships, marketing, and advertising preferred
  • Experience working with market research tools (YouGov, Nielsen Scarborough, Vision Insights), and/or partnership measurement and evaluation tools (Relo Metrics, Nielsen Sports, Zoomph, Blinkfire, Meltwater) preferred
  • Experience working with CRM software module preferred
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of current sports partnership landscape, technology, and trends
  • Ability to conduct rigorous data analysis and transform results into high-quality models and easy-to-comprehend presentations
  • Technological aptitude; an ability to troubleshoot and learn complex systems to solve problems and questions
  • Team player with a positive attitude, self-confidence, professionalism, resourcefulness, integrity, motivation, and a very strong work ethic
