Bully Pulpit International is an outcomes agency made up of strategists, data scientists, and artists. We come from politics, brands, and government and we communicate without barriers and measure what matters. We have more than 350 team members in six countries and thirteen offices - Berlin, Brussels, Chicago, D.C., London, Los Angeles, New York, Oslo, San Francisco, and Zürich. We apply our unique expertise across strategic communications, public affairs, research, and digital marketing to create sophisticated and customized strategies that make change possible for both American and European clients.
  • Starting Salary Range: $64,000 - $72,000
  • Location: Expectation to work from DC, New York, Chicago, SF or LA offices at least 3 days a week

The Impact You Will Make
In this role, you will take a leading role in making campaigns more effective by analyzing data on targeting, measurement, and competitive intelligence. As a Senior Analyst, you won't just support projects; you will lead simple projects from start to finish with guidance. You will drive the strategic narratives that help our clients win by tying data-driven conclusions to broader strategic imperatives.
What the Day-to-Day Looks Like
  • Project Leadership: Lead simple data science and targeting projects with some guidance, ensuring that all work products meet BPI's quality standards.
  • Audience Strategy: Build audiences for campaigns by mapping key stakeholders, writing code in R or SQL to identify them in databases, and producing deliverables that articulate the audience strategy to clients.
  • Advanced Data Processing: Process and analyze data from experiments and surveys to measure campaign impact, ensuring accuracy and identifying methodological trade-offs.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Produce reports on paid media campaigns by classifying ads and creating data visualizations that explain spending in strategic terms for corporate and political clients.
  • Process Management: Enforce existing team processes and proactively identify pain points or areas for improvement within the workflow.
  • Cross-Team Communication: Serve as a bridge between client teams and technical operations, communicating fielding and project timelines effectively.

Requirements
What You Bring
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience using R and SQL to extract insights from raw data and produce analysis used by non-technical stakeholders.
  • Applied Science: A strong working knowledge of statistics and data science, including confidence in using tools like regressions and the ability to interpret and explain these outputs clearly.
  • Strategic Context: A developing understanding of BPI's broader offerings, including how media strategy and ad tech integrate with data science deliverables.
  • Attention to Detail: The ability to pick up new data sets, quickly spot errors, and serve as a reliable backstop for proofing team data.
  • Professional Communication: Strong written communication skills and the ability to provide direct, constructive feedback to peers.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: A desire to tackle hard problems from first principles and an eagerness to learn new tools and methodologies.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, paid media, or politics.

Benefits
BPI offers a wide range of benefits to U.S.-based employees, including 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) program with employer match up to 4%, generous time off for vacation, $50 monthly phone reimbursement, unlimited sick time, and 16 weeks of paid leave for new parents. BPI's benefits prioritize employee wellness and progressive support to our diverse workforce.
We're looking for all kinds of people.

By combining incisive strategy and deep tactical expertise, we make change possible. Our transatlantic presence includes offices across eleven markets in the US and Europe.
We are an equal opportunity employer and make employment decisions based on individual commitment to excellence. We want to have the best qualified people in every job. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion or religious creed, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions), sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, status as a protected veteran, physical or mental disability, medical condition, genetic information or characteristics (or those of a family member) or any other consideration made unlawful by applicable federal, state or local laws.
