Job description

Amazon Devices is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the development and evolution of our Sales Planning Tools platform. This critical product enables Amazon's device product lines to generate accurate, data-driven sales plans that inform business decisions across the organization.
As a Senior TPM on this team, you will own the end-to-end technical program management for our sales planning platform. You will work backwards from customer needs-partnering with device product line teams, finance, supply chain, data science, and engineering stakeholders-to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that improve planning accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enable better decision-making at scale.
You will drive technical strategy, manage complex dependencies, define delivery roadmaps, and ensure operational excellence across multiple engineering teams

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong program management skills, and the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders across the organization.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the technical program roadmap and delivery for sales planning tools used across Amazon Devices product lines
- Partner with engineering leaders to define technical architecture, system design, and scalability requirements
- Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, data science, product, finance, and business teams
- Manage complex technical dependencies and integration points across multiple systems and services
- Define and track program metrics, KPIs, and operational health indicators
- Lead sprint planning, release management, and delivery execution for multiple engineering teams
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, blockers, and dependencies proactively
- Write technical narratives, six-pagers, and program status reports for leadership review
- Drive operational excellence initiatives including monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
- Present program status and technical deep-dives to senior leadership, including DSLT
- Establish and improve development processes, best practices, and team workflows
- Lead technical design reviews and ensure solutions meet scalability, reliability, and security requirements
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectation setting across multiple organizations
- Drive adoption and change management for new platform capabilities
- Mentor and develop junior TPMs and contribute to TPM community best practices
Technical Focus Areas:
- Data pipeline architecture and ETL processes for sales planning data
- Integration with upstream and downstream systems (forecasting models, BI tools, financial systems)
- Platform scalability and performance optimization
- API design and service-oriented architecture
- Data quality, validation, and governance frameworks
- Machine learning model integration and deployment
