Job description

SUMMARY:
The Production Specialist is responsible for Stator / PE System / Inverter and mass production. The incumbent also develops, coordinates, and participates in productivity and quality improvement. This role will work for MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain, LLC. (MNAe).
KEY RESPONSIBILITES: (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
  • To utilize Lean and Six Sigma techniques to identify and eliminate process wastes throughout the system
  • Based on understanding the product and equipment, maximizing production efficiency and producing high-quality products is necessary.
  • Support issue resolution through root cause analysis, implementing permanent countermeasures, and an environment of continuous learning and improvement
  • Uses appropriate problem-solving tools to provide rapid improvement with sustainable results
  • Assist process engineering with part processing and troubleshooting for ongoing scrap reduction, cycle time reduction, and downtime reduction.
  • Ensures adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting
  • Coordinate the efficient use of raw materials and ingredients in making products.
  • Manage daily operations through KPI, problem-solving, and driving continuous improvement to achieve the KPI targets.
  • Support and manage continuous improvement activities in safety, environmental, quality, cost, efficiency, and productivity objectives
  • Partner and Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, Maintenance, and other internal departments to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.

This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
(The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalent manufacturing experience
  • 2 plus years experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Stator, Motor, and Inverter manufacturing background preferred
  • Fluent with CAD programs (ex. AutoCAD)
  • Experience developing and managing Capital Budget

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • A strong sense of urgency and commitment to production
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a positive attitude

  • Fluent with standard MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc)

Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical assembly drawings and accurately measure and inspect tolerances
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • Results-oriented written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to manage to change priorities and employ sound business judgment
  • Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs)
  • Proven interpersonal and team-building skills

Working Conditions:
  • Incumbent works 8 to 10-hour shifts with occasional weekend assignments
